Canon Malaysia Provides the Perfect Solution to #UnleashPrint
Offset printing technology has long dominated the field of commercial printing. But with the emergence of digitalisation in recent years, digital technology is changing the competitive landscape of the commercial printing market, and companies who fall behind in the shift to digital printing are at risk.
In answering these business challenges and taking the variables into consideration, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) today introduced two commercial print line devices - the third generation

'#UnleashPrint - Built for Business, Bring It On'
as it is Canon Malaysia's intent to help customers realise their potential, take on new challenges and open up new opportunities.

Andrew Koh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canon Marketing (Malaysia), said that as the leading imaging products and solutions provider, Canon understands that every business and every print room is different and has different needs.
"Technological advancements have been growing at an accelerated rate over the last few decades, and growing as a business goes beyond bigger profits or attracting more customers. Because of this, we are constantly at the forefront of innovating new solutions to keep up with the ever-growing demands of customers. Canon's Professional Printing Products (PPP) division is built for business and provides new levels of quality and production in both color, and black and white production," he said.

Albert Mah, Head of the Professional Printing Products (PPP) Division for Canon Marketing (Malaysia), explained that high print quality and high productivity are imperative in commercial printing; and as the printing industry continues to evolve towards digitalization, Canon is here to pioneer and revolutionize new markets with commercial-use printers to support a richer and more convenient lifestyle for those in the printing industry and beyond.
Packing innovative technologies and features into a small carbon footprint, both the

are designed to provide the best possible return-on-investment for customers, combining time and cost saving with revenue generation.
"Print service providers (PSPs) often find that the inflexible nature of traditional presses do not easily accommodate the demands of document customisation. And as print jobs become more complex, PSPs need to ensure that their production environments are flexible, efficient and productive enough to take advantage of these changes in demands," he said.
Mah elaborated that the complexity is the main reason behind a growing trend towards PSPs moving page volumes from their analogue devices and onto faster, more productive digital devices, and that Canon's digital print technology is able to help PSPs deliver professional quality documents with ease and control. "Our cost-efficient, user-friendly print-on-demand system further provides full end-to-end printing solutions to respond quickly and offer customers a wider range of services."

What is hardware without a powerful software to support and streamline workflows for better productivity? Canon Malaysia also introduced its
Canon PRISMAprepare software controller
that plays a pivotal role in marrying all job functionalities together, to produce high quality output in the most cost efficient and productive manner.
"Regardless if you are printing colors or monochrome one at a time or simultaneously, our advanced PRISMAprepare software makes it easy to prepare complex jobs, automate the prepress process and accelerate job turnaround. This would in turn prevent wasted time, effort, or hard-copy layout proofs before they're perfect," explained Mah.
As a company, Canon has always been Malaysia's commercial print partners in providing the support and expertise to deliver new ideas and applications that will help inspire customers, and improve the productivity and profitability of their business. Other than demonstrating the two new device lines, the launch session also saw Canon Malaysia showcasing various types of color and monochrome digitally printed applications under a restaurant theme. Examples included books, restaurant menus, table-mats, cup coasters and table standees printed on various material formats.
Canon Malaysia is driven by its corporate philosophy of 'Kyosei' to develop applications and solutions that will lead to a better world. "For this reason, customers can be assured that Canon will continue to provide high-quality products and services that not only streamline workflows and boost productivity, but also creating new synergies for business growth. We will constantly evolve in line with what we expect the digital future to be," Mah concluded.
