Canon Launches First 6-colour Refillable Ink Tank Printers

SHAH ALAM, 20 April 2021 – Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) unveils its first 6-colour refillable ink tank printers, the PIXMA G570 and PIXMA G670, delivering greater longevity of printed images at ultra-low printing cost. Bring captured memories to life, powered by decades of advanced colour science. These latest photo printers are furnished with 2 brand new ink sets that produce vivid and rich prints unseen in the ink tank printer world.
“As we continue to address the evolving needs of our customers, we are excited to launch Canon’s first 6-colour ink-tank printers, PIXMA G570 and G670 in Malaysia,” said Sandy Lee, Head of the Consumer System Products (CSP) Division of Canon Marketing Malaysia. “The last 12 months have been very tough for many. Differing from the conventional 4-ink systems (CMYK colours) that are more suited for document printing, the PIXMA G570 and PIXMA G670 are installed with red and grey ink sets. The additional red ink supports a wider colour gamut to attain richer red reproduction ranging from blood-red sunsets to gleaming red automobiles. The grey ink achieves stable colour reproduction, preventing the colour to shift when printed on different types of photo paper. While memories may fade over time, the combined strengths of Canon photo papers and the new 6-ink system generate photos that will last up to 200 years under conducive storage conditions.
Similar to its predecessors within the G series, enjoy high-volume printing of up to 3,800 sheets of 4x6” prints with a single set of ink that is included in the box. Whether for business, home, or creative usage, the new printer duos yield stunning photo quality minus concerns about the cost of printing.
Enhanced Productivity and Environment Friendly
Designed with ease and convenience in mind, printer maintenance is a breeze. Whenever printer ink is low, users will only need to fit the unique spill-free ink bottles into their designated inlet. It will automatically start filling the ink tank and stop once it’s full. The G570 and G670 also feature modular structures with replaceable components, allowing users to easily replace the printhead and cartridge by themselves. As a result, the intelligent design keeps the workplace clean and minimizes device downtime.
For the environmentally conscious, a power-saving feature automatically turns off the printer after a period of inactivity. When the printers receive any printing instructions from a smartphone or laptop, the device will automatically power up.
Mobile and Voice-Activated Printing
Through the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY mobile app, users will be able to print and scan directly from their smartphones, as well as control printer settings and receive device alerts. To connect the PIXMA G670 and G570 printers to social networks and cloud storage for remote printing and scanning, users can utilise the PIXMA Cloud Link service.
For a hands-free experience, these next-generation printers also work with Smart Speakers and are compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon for voice-activated printing. This empowers users to effectively multitask and print a wide rank of documents from colouring pages and origami, to message cards and shopping lists via voice command.

Unlock new creative potential with Canon’s Easy-PhotoPrint Editor app for iOS, Android OS, Windows and Mac OS platforms. Take your favourite photos and turn them into stylish prints with the readily available templates for calendars, postcards, business cards and more. Furthermore, Canon PosterArtist Lite enables both professionals and home users to effortlessly create gorgeous flyers and posters from a wide selection of 1,300 templates, photos and clipart. The PosterArtist Lite software is only available for the Windows operating system.
