The Supreme Full-Frame EOS—14/16 fps High-Speed Continuous Shooting
The EOS-1D X Mark II realizes continuous shooting speeds that surpass those on previous models — 14 fps (with AF/AE tracking) and 16 fps (Live View shooting). It also has abundant writing speed to support the large amount of data generated, thanks to the Dual DIGIC 6+ processors and compatibility with CFast 2.0*. The greatly expanded AF detection area—up to 61 points at f/8 — promises high AF performance that will please photographers who hope to get even closer to their subjects with the use of extenders. There are approx. 360,000 pixels in the new RGB + IR metering sensor. This not only allows for more refined exposure control due to better recognition of facial features and colour information, but also enables even more precise scene detection, and hence better AF accuracy and improved control over colour reproduction.
