Director, videographer and writer Mohd Zyrul Hafizie bin Mohd Poudzi known as Zyrul Blackopi, born and raised in Penang, Malaysia on 3rd September 1988, began his career as a filmmaker in 2013 with short film for local short film competition.
He moved to Kuala Lumpur after two years of producing short film in Penang when his work had been acknowledged by a few directors in Kuala Lumpur and assigned him as an assistant director for several micro film projects.
From 2015 until 2018 he has produced more than 20 short film
in various genre and in 2016, he received his first award for
filmmaking in Malaysia Micro Film Festival 2016 and the latest
award was the Blue to Blue Australia Film Festival 2022.
