It might be challenging to get great shots in a picturesque setting, but it would be exceedingly challenging to do it at a dump site. Yet it was a series of outstanding photos captured at a dump site in the outskirts of Cambodia that catapulted Danny Wong to fame and won him numerous awards from some of the world’s largest photographic competitions such as the Trierenberg Super Mega Circuits, where he won gold medals in 2014 and 2016.   The air was often smoky and dusty where these pictures were shot, which was close to a dump site. Patience and keen attention are needed to photographically depict the inhabitants in their natural environment. Through his photographic lens, he was able to tell the story and the emotion of the scavengers to people all over the world. They say that an image is worth a thousand words. A collection of photos captured while participating in Ijtema in Bangladesh helped him win more than 20 gold honours in photography contests and exhibits throughout the world. He was also able to win the Open division of the Siena International Photo Award, the Trofeo Gipuzkoa 2016 in Spain, the Nikonians Photography Awards 2017, and the Sony World Photography Award as a Commended Photographer in 2017 thanks to his Vietnam-related photos.   In addition to being voted The Best Author in international exhibits 42 times, he has more than 2,000 international awards under his belt and several photography accolades. The Arctic Circle, Vietnam, China, Nepal, Cambodia, Malaysia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia, Botswana and Morocco are just some of the far-flung locations where Danny routinely arranges international photography trips, accepts foreign projects, and leads photographers on excursions. He has also been a guest lecturer and judge for several photographic groups nationwide and abroad. Inspired by his fervent love for photography, he aims to "Never Stop Exploring the World."
