JOHOR BAHRU, 26 June 2025 – Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon) reaffirmed its commitment to the local community with a meaningful greening initiative at SIREH Park, Iskandar Puteri. In collaboration with its business partner A.T. Plan Sdn. Bhd., and with support from SIREH Park and Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri, the programme brought together 100 volunteers for a full-day effort focused on tree planting and inclusive eco-learning.
The event is part of Canon’s nationwide One Canon One Tree campaign, which has planted over 10,000 trees across Malaysia since 2016. By extending this initiative in Johor, the company continues to enrich the state’s urban green spaces while fostering meaningful community connections.
“Being part of the Johor community, we’re proud to give back in a way that supports both the environment and the people around us,” said Benny Tai, Head of Canon’s Johor Bahru Branch. “This programme is more than just planting trees—it sparks curiosity, encourages a love for nature, and reminds us of the part we all play in building a more sustainable future.”

An Inclusive Nature Experience
In addition to the tree planting activity, Canon hosted a guided park exploration for the children with diverse abilities, offering them a meaningful way to connect with nature. Their visit included Edu Farm—an interactive eco-learning zone home to a variety of animals, crops, and aquatic life. Armed with Canon cameras, they captured what caught their eye, expressing their perspectives through photography. This inclusive experience was designed to promote observation, self-expression, and connection with the environment in a safe, open-air setting, reflecting Canon’s belief that nature should be accessible to everyone.
A Strategic Location for Long-Term Impact
Spanning 343 acres, SIREH Park is Malaysia’s largest urban community green recreational park and a cornerstone of Johor’s strategy to balance development with biodiversity preservation. Managed by the Nusajaya Natural Heritage Trust, the park aims to plant 25,000 trees and sequester more than 300,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide, while providing a vibrant space for recreation, learning, and habitat restoration.
“Canon’s involvement brings a creative and inclusive dimension to our conservation mission,” said En. Faisal Mohd Nor, Head of SIREH Park. “Together, we’re not just planting trees—we’re nurturing a community that values and protects its natural surroundings.”
Looking ahead, Canon Malaysia will continue expanding One Canon One Tree through strategic partnerships that combine its imaging expertise with hands-on conservation and inclusive learning. Guided by its Kyosei philosophy—living and working together for the common good—Canon remains committed to creating long-term value for communities and the environment across Malaysia.

Volunteers, special children, caregivers, and partners from Canon, SIREH Park, AT Plan, and MBIP come together to celebrate inclusion, collaboration, and collective care for our environment.
