  1. I bought a new Canon product.
    How do I register my new and/or future Canon product purchase(s) for an eWarranty?
    • Step 1. Register Your Life with Canon membership. Click here
    • Step 2. Log into your YLWC member's account.
    • Step 3. Click the "My Product Warranty" tab
    • Step 4. Complete a few steps to register your new Canon product for its eWarranty.

  2. I have been registered user profile on previous online warranty, do I need to register YLWC again ?
    No need. You may login 'Your Life With Canon' using your previous username or password. If you have forgotten your username and password, click here

  3. Why is there no international warranty for my Canon photographic product?
    Due to varying pricing and taxation in different countries, Canon photographic products are warrantied only in the country of purchase. When buying the photographic product, check if product has a local warranty issued by the Canon office in the country of purchase. If there is, when require service within a year, please send it to the Canon sales company in the country of purchase. If do not have a valid local warranty, charges for service will apply.   4. I brought over my Canon product which I purchased out of the country, is my warranty recognized?
    Warranty of Canon products purchased overseas are only recognized in their country of purchase.

  7. Can my camera warranty be extended?

  8. When I purchase extended warranty for my Canon DSLR (EOS) with Kit, does it cover both camera body and the Lens?
    Extended warranty is for DSLRs & only covers the camera body. No extended warranty for the lens. More information on extended warranty here.

  9. I have purchased extended warranty from your road show/authorized dealers/Canon Image Square outlets.
    Please refer back to the outlet of purchase for honor of the extended warranty.

  10. I am a tourist from China in your country. I need to service / repair my camera (still under warranty) in Malaysia.
    Tourists from China can visit Canon Malaysia’s service centre at No. 6-2-01, Canon Tower, UOA Business Park (Tower 6), Jalan Pengaturcara U1/51A, Seksyen U1, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, for servicing needs.
    Opening hours (Mon-Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm, closed on Sat, Sun, State & Public Hol).
    Do note that all servicing/repair works done will be charged & payments be made in local currency (Malaysian Ringgit).
    Upon returning to China, customer can claim reimbursement from Canon (China), subject to Canon (China)’s service terms & conditions.
