This beginner masterclass provide a comprehensive overview of the essentials of videography, from Canon camera system and lighting selection to basic cinematography techniques and editing software. At the end of the workshop, participants should feel confident in getting started with videography, knowing which Canon camera to use, the basics of lighting, shooting techniques, and the essential skills needed for editing.
By familiarise new comer with latest Canon Camera system & technology, it will encourage non Canon user to consider upgrade to Canon system. At the same time encourage existing Canon photographer to venture into cinematography.

1. Introduction and Icebreaker
2. Camera & Gear Selection Objective: Help participants understand the different types of cameras, lenses, and essential accessories for videography. Topics to Cover: Camera, Lens, Tripods, Gimbals & essential accesories like ND filter, audio equipment & memory card.
3. Key Principles in Videography Objective: Provide an overview of the most essential knowledge in videography. Topics to Cover: Frame Rates & Shutter Speed, Resolution and Aspect Ratio, Movie Record Size LGOP vs Intra, Recording format: XF-HEVC S YCC 422 10bit vs 420 vs XF-AVC S, Gamma/Color Space: C log 2, C log 3, Rec 709, Cinema Gamut. Pro on Canon R5 MK II: Talley Lamp, Waveform, Clog2, Aspect Marker
4. Lighting Techniques for Videography Objective: Teach participants basic lighting setups and their impact on video quality.
5. Practical Session Objective: Get participant to get a taste of setting up a video set and shoot with Canon Camera.
6. Editing Software Overview Objective: Introduce the essential video editing software and basic editing concepts.
