SHAH ALAM, 7 September 2023 – Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) today announced the launch of two new A3 monochrome single-function laser printers, the imageCLASS LBP458x and LBP456w. Combining robust paper handling and high paper capacity, the LBP450 series can churn out spreadsheets, CAD technical drawings, blueprints, maps, and posters at high speed and with outstanding resolution and sharpness. Versatile connectivity options with enhanced security features make them true workhorses for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), as well as large enterprises.

High Productivity
With Canon’s proprietary On-Demand Fixing Technology, users can expect a first print from the LBP450 series in just 6.3 seconds after sending a print job, approximately 30% faster than previous models. The LBP456w delivers an A4 document output of up to 30 pages-per-minute (ppm), while the LBP458x tops that at 43 ppm for A4 documents. Both models support automatic dual-sided printing. The LBP458x also comes with additional PCL print language and genuine Adobe PostScript built in, making integration with different business applications a complete ease.
Versatile Connectivity and Enhanced Security
In addition to USB and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, the LBP450 series is equipped with wireless connectivity to cater to the needs of modern workspaces. Dual network support allows the printers to be shared across two different networks simultaneously, enabling IT administrators to perform network segmentation without compromising on security.
Ease of Use
Device management and maintenance are made easy with a 5-line LCD display that shows necessary information at a glance. The printers also provide guided instructions via the LCD display to assist users during device setup or simple troubleshooting.
The standard 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, together with three optional 550-sheet paper feeders increase the printer’s total paper input capacity to an impressive 2,000 sheets to meet the demands of businesses with high-volume printing.
