Canon Expands EOS Master Programme with New EOS Mentors for 2025
Empowering Malaysia’s Photography and Videography Community with Enhanced Expertise and Knowledge Sharing

Canon proudly introduces its 2025 EOS Masters & Mentors – a powerhouse of photography and videography experts dedicated to inspiring and elevating Malaysia’s creative community.
SHAH ALAM, 24 February 2025 – Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) proudly unveils its 2025 lineup of EOS Masters, alongside the introduction of a newly established second-tier category – EOS Mentors. This expansion underscores Canon’s commitment to nurturing Malaysia’s creative community by broadening access to expertise, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for photographers and videographers.
Building on the success of the EOS Master initiative, first launched in 2023, Canon continues to elevate Malaysia’s photography landscape by assembling an elite group of professionals distinguished by their vast experience and contributions across various photography disciplines. In 2025, EOS Masters will maintain their role as Canon’s premier photography advocates, serving as industry leaders in education, brand representation, and creative inspiration. The newly introduced EOS Mentors will complement this initiative by acting as secondary trainers and speakers, further amplifying Canon’s influence and fostering deeper engagement with the creative community.
The 2025 EOS Masters & Mentors lineup, comprising 15 Masters and 11 Mentors, was officially introduced during the 2025 EOS Masters & Mentors Introduction & Signing Session. This year’s lineup features leading professionals in wedding, event, travel, portrait, and studio photography, alongside specialists in wildlife, sports, and photojournalism. Further enriching this cohort are content creators, influencers, birding experts, and extreme sports photographers, each bringing a unique perspective and creative vision to the initiative.
Canon is dedicated to providing enriching learning experiences through a diverse array of workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing sessions led by both EOS Masters and EOS Mentors. These immersive sessions aim to equip aspiring and professional photographers with essential technical skills, creative insights, and hands-on experiences to refine their craft and push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Masato Yoshiie, President & CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia, highlighted the importance of the EOS Master and EOS Mentor initiatives in fostering a strong photography and videography community. “The EOS Masters have consistently set the benchmark for excellence, and with the introduction of EOS Mentors, we are creating an even more robust support system for photographers and videographers. This initiative reflects our commitment to cultivating talent and ensuring that knowledge, skills, and creativity continue to flourish within the industry.”
Edward Chang, Head of Image Communication Business Division at Canon Marketing Malaysia, emphasised the mentorship aspect of the programme: “The addition of EOS Mentors strengthens our mission to bridge the gap between emerging creatives and seasoned professionals. By offering more opportunities for collaboration, learning, and hands-on experience, we are empowering the next generation of photographers and videographers to reach new heights in their craft.”
Canon’s dedication to creativity and community is deeply rooted in its Kyosei philosophy, which champions the spirit of working together for the greater good. The EOS Master and EOS Mentor programmes stand as a testament to this commitment, fostering a thriving culture of mentorship, innovation, and excellence in the ever-evolving world of digital imaging.
